New Lancia Stratos will make its debut in November, when the car will be introduced to journalists at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Marseille, France.

The car is commissioned by car collector and racing enthusiast Michael Stoscheck, who runs German auto parts supplier Brose.

The Stratos revival is designed by Jason Castriota(now the design director at Saab) and built by Pininfarina. Rumor is that it could go into limited series production(probably 25 units). If not, then Mr. Stoscheck has somehing very unique in his garage.

The Stratos revival features rigid carbon fiber body, and reportedly has a power-to-weight ratio of 2.25 kg per horsepower (364 hp per ton). Underneath the carbon fiber body is a 483 horsepower engine from a Ferrari F430 and a shortened chassis.

Recently the new Lancia Stratos was put to a chassis test by Michael Stoscheck and his son Maximilian at a karting course in Wächtersbach, Germany. Next test is in Balocco Italy, where the Stratos will be fitted with stiffer coil springs and a more direct steering ration.
