2012 Mercedes-Benz S-ClassHere we have the latest spy photos of the next-generation S-Class testing in Stuttgart. Wearing heavy camouflage, it looks like the new S-Class will be longer than the current model.

Next S-Class will be powered by new fuel efficient engines, including some from the recently revealed 2011 C-Class.

Top of the range AMG model is expected to use the twin-turbo 5.5 litre V8 with around 570 hp. Biggest news is the powertrain from the Vision S500 Plug-In Hybrid Concept, that will take this big saloon from 0-100 km/h in around 5.5 seconds, while consuming just 4 liters per 100 km.

New S-Class is also expected to use some of the most advanced technologies found in a car when it arrives. As the testing continues we expect to see more prototypes with less disguise in few months.
