Spy photos: 2012 Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG

Few weeks ago we brought you spy photos of the next generation Mercedes-Benz SL-Class.

This time our spy photographer managed to photograph the AMG version. The SL 63 AMG prototype wears heavy camouflage, and looks very similar to the regular SL-Class prototype that was spotted few weeks ago, but if you look closer you will see larger air intakes, bigger brakes, upgraded calipers, front spoiler with a different shape and different exhaust pipes.

In the heart of the next-generation SL 63 AMG will be a new 5.5 litre twin-turbo V8 with 571 horsepower.

It is hard to tell yet where the design is heading, but there seems to be some similarities with the SLS supercar. We expect Mercedes engineers to loose some of the disguise soon so we can get a better look at the overall shape. Stay tuned for more photos!
