Renault has released details about its new concept car DeZir, that will make its world debut this autumn at the Paris Motor Show. The DeZir project is led by Laurens van den Acker and marks the start of a sequence of concept cars that will provide an insight into styling cues of Renault’s forthcoming vehicles.

The DeZir is rear wheel drive all electric sports car with 150 hp and 226 Nm of torque. Power is supplied by a 24Kw/h lithium-ion battery pack that is also found in the Nissan Leaf. Weighing just 830 kg, this electric sports car accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 5 seconds, while the top speed is 180 km/h. Range is 160 km from a full charge and the battery is configured for Quick Drop exchanges. For full details see the press release after images.
