Hennessey Performance’s first production-ready Venom GT supercar has left its UK production facility and is now on its way to UAE where it is to be delivered to its new owner.
The first production Venom GT is the top tier model, powered by a twin turbocharged Chevrolet LS-series aluminum V8 producing 1,200 hp and 1,135 lb-ft torque mated to a 6-speed Ricardo manual transaxle.
Based upon the Lotus Elise it has a curb weight of just 1217 kg with a full tank of fuel. The Venom GT features an all-new front and rear space frame and suspension, carbon fiber body, and adjustable rear wing for exceptional high-speed stability.
In addition to the 1,200 hp version, there will be also a base model with 725 hp supercharged LS9 V8 that produces 725 hp and a 1,000 hp twin turbo variant.
Production is limited to 10 vehicles a year and both left and right-hand drive configurations are available. Will we ever see one in Ireland? Very likely not…
