Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible Sets A New World Speed Record On Ice

Finland’s four-time world rally champion Juha Kankkunen has done it again, by driving a Bentley Continental Supersports convertible on the frozen waters of the Baltic Sea, off the coast of Finland, at a breathtaking 205.48 mph (330.695 km/h) to set a new world speed record on ice.

The Continental Supersports convertible with all-wheel-drive, 6.0 litre V12 ran on biofuel, in line with Bentley’s CO2 strategy. The temperatures at the location were as low as minus 30 degrees, and with sudden snow blizzards and dangerous crosswinds everything was extreme from driving conditions to final speed.
