All New Subaru XV European Spec To Make World Premiere At Frankfurt Show
Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. (FHI), the maker of Subaru automobiles, has confirmed that it will exhibit the all-new ‘Subaru XV’ (European specification) as a world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The new model will be unveiled at the Subaru press conference, scheduled for 9.30am on 13th September.
The Subaru XV is the production version of the design concept ‘Subaru XV Concept’ displayed last April at the Auto Shanghai motor show. The concept was favourably received globally thanks to its distinctive and trendy design which blend a crossover-like commanding silhouette and an urban friendly image into one harmonious and elegant package.
One of the nice features of the concept was Subaru’s own advanced driving assist ‘EyeSight’ system, an LCD monitor positioned between the two well-balanced and highly visible combination meters allows the driver to check the images captured with the EyeSight’s stereo cameras.
Under the bonnet is expected to be a 2.0-liter four cylinder horizontally-opposed DOHC boxer engine.
Subaru Ireland Managing Director, Neville Matthews, said: “We are delighted with this exciting new model, which will arrive just in time for January 2012”.
