2012 Audi A6 – best spy photos so far

These are the latest and the best photos of the next-generation Audi A6 that will be launched in the end of 2011 as a 2012 year model.

The rear boot looks higher than on the current generation and the overall design seems very similar to the new A8.

The new A6 will use the lightweight ASF II spaceframe technology that Audi has been using in the little sporty TT. The ASF technology is half the weight of traditional steel, while more rigid.

Engine line-up will include both V6 and V8 petrol and diesel units, with power ranging from 190 hp to 350 hp. Very likely the V10 in the S6 will be replaced with a smaller twin-turbo V8 unit. Of course an RS6 model is also expected at a later date.
