2011 Porsche Panamera comes with brake energy recuperation system
Porsche has released details about the 2011 model year Panamera, that will go on sale in August. Part of all V8 models in standard will be a new brake energy recuperation system that improves fuel consumption by up to 0.9 litres/100 km. The system charges battery during braking and also during acceleration.
Top of the range Panamera Turbo with 500 hp now consumes just 11.3 litres instead of formerly 12.2 litres/100 km in the New European Driving Cycle when equipped with optional low roll-resistance, all-season 19-inch tires.
The Panamera S and Panamera 4S now consume just 10.3 litres/100 km and 10.6 litres/100 km.
The Auto Start Stop function has also been optimised, now allowing the driver to set off again even faster and more comfortably after coming to a halt.
Porsche is also extending the range of paintwork colours, leather options and special equipment for the next model year Panamera.
