2011 Mercedes CLSYesterday the next-generation CLS was spotted testing on the Nürburgring with very little disguise. In addition first images from a brochure were leaked to the web, so we expect Mercedes to release all the official details very soon ahead of the cars official debut at the Paris Motor Show.

New CLS features a wider track, longer bonnet, aggressive front bumper, LEDs and if rumors are true is based on the current S-Class not the E-Class like the current version.

Two petrol engines will be offered. The CLS 350 CGI features a new direct-injection 3.5 litre V6 with 301 bhp and 386 Nm of torque while the CLS 550 CGI features a new 4.6 litre twin-turbocharged V8 with 429 bhp and 700 Nm of torque.

All-wheel-drive will be also available for the CLS 550 CGI. For diesel fans there will be a 350 CDI with a 3.0 litre V6 producing 250 bhp and 250 CDI with a four cylinder diesel engine producing around 200 bhp.

Top of the range CLS63 AMG will be powered by a new twin-turbocharged 5.5 litre V8 with 544 bhp. With an optional Performance Pack boosting power to around 570 bhp. There will be also a hybrid option based on the S400 BlueHybrid.
